Here is a rough guide to pricing for different catering styles. Please note that guide prices are for food only and do not include staff, delivery, or equipment hire.
In general, fewer guests will increase per head prices and larger numbers will reduce them. Final prices will also be affected by menu choices.
All costs are subject to VAT.
• Canapés & bowls: 8 canape menu, giving approx 12 pieces per guest, or 4-5 bowls: from £22-£25 for 25 guests, from £21-£24 per head for 50 guests, £18-£21 per head for 100 guests. £2-£3 per head more for 10 canapes. Simple canapés, see Simple menus below.
• Buffets: Buffets are charged at between £30-£45 per head for 40 guests, or £25-£35 per head for 100 guests, depending on number of courses and number of dishes. Simple buffets, see simple menus below.
• Dinner parties: Average three course dinner parties cost between £45-£50 per head for 10 guests, £30-£35 for 20+ guests. Simple dinners, see Simple menus below.
• Simple menus: simple canapés from £15 per head for 50 guests, £13 per head for 100 guests. Buffets from £23 per head for 40 guests. Three course dinners from £29.50 per head for 10 guests.
• Drop off catering: a minimum charge of £250 will usually apply, plus delivery where required.
