Our name - Black Pot - was inspired by the gorgeous Colombian tierra negra pots, which owner and former TV producer Lisa Silcock discovered on her travels. The pots produce sumptuous, moreish food designed for sharing. True to our name, our dishes are beautiful to look at and big on flavour, using seasonal, locally sourced ingredients.

But we're not just about food. We can also help you to plan the rest of your event, handpicking the perfect venue, supplying charming staff, sparkling glassware and crisp linen, furniture, flowers and more - taking it all off your shoulders.


Founder & Director of Black Pot

Lisa moved from her first career as a TV documentaries producer to fulfil her long-held dream of working in food and catering. She started Black Pot in 2005, initially operating from her kitchen at home in Hampstead and delivering jobs in the family car. 15 years on, she still thinks and talks about food most of the time, but now has the help of a wonderful crew and a professional kitchen.
